Life is made up of little moments, most of which are unremarkable individually but rich in their totality.. Janis Mara. I so want to hear her voice.. A few years ago my Father, who had dementia, went missing for a few hours. He was nowhere to be found near his house. I was in a panic! I searched all the stores he frequented on the avenue and those he didn’t, but no one had seen him. I drove all over the neighborhood. I had my husband log into Dad’s credit card account, which I managed, to see if he had used it anywhere, but he had not. I had the idea to have my husband place an alert on the account so I would be notified if it were used. Fifteen minutes later (!) I got a text – the card was used at Lenny’s Pizza. Twenty-six blocks from where he lived! I have no idea how my frail father walked so far, or where he thought he was going.
