I closed down for the pandemic and never opened back up. My store was my heart and my customers made it even better. I didn’t get to say goodbye to many of them but I still hear from other store owners that were in the same village that my previous customers over the past year and half have come looking for my store and for me and that they always have great things to say about it. Being my own boss was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but at the same time it was the most rewarding it’s bittersweet but I just keep telling myself that one day I’ll be able to open my doors back up, all in due time seeing someone walk out with something I made that’s the memory that I will hold on to until that day comes again! Asked my 14 year old grandson what he’d like as a graduation said “I’d like to go to New York, I wanna see why you n Granddad love going there”. Just refreshed the page and it’s at over $24,000!. I’m stunned the landlord charges $6500/month for that tiny spot. . can i buy something online? i want to help. Could anyone help Henry set up a small e-commerce store so people who aren’t in NYC could buy his cool bags?

I would go into the store if I lived in New York. Be brave Henry. Just 30 minutes and the fundraiser is almost at its goal. So happy!!! I can’t wait to visit New York again and check out this mans store.. There are many different grants and such for business owners in the stimulus packages. Check for New York. Grants you don’t pay back. Good luck. You sound like a good man.. I am so happy to see this story. My husband has been frequenting the store for many years, coincidentally he went in on Saturday, 6/5 and remarked how much he loved the store and how friendly and wonderful the shopkeeper was! I was delighted to see this story tonight, and read it out loud to my husband. We will be back, and wish Henry lots of luck! Xx. I will come into Manhattan from Long Island just to buy something from Henry. The world needs more people like Henry!
