You, like Gene, are a ferocious protector of those you love. I honor your anger.. the grace of you carrying that anger.  your love for Gene and your kindness towards the chips that should not bear his shame. . Your love is palpable, beautiful, as you talk about Gene. You deserve to let go of this “affliction “ because it hurts you, but doesn’t help Gene. I wish you every happiness, and peace despite it all.. Unreal story. I believe God holds us accountable, for everything we do. Gene’s grace is a thing of beauty and I believe it will impact people on a much larger scale than you maybe can imagine. This animal doesn’t deserve to be living in your head. God bless you and your whole family.. It hurts my heart that you think you should have to carry this anger to make up for what your brother sacrificed. Holy hell. This one got me the worst. I completely understand where she’s coming from. This world can be so wonderful and so cruel at the same time.. I can’t even imagine how you feel. You are fully entitled to your feelings. His actions changed the course of both of your lives.. Your honesty is brave and good. Your anger is brave and good too. We’re all doing the best we can.. Fu**if this isn’t the realest sh** ever. “Maybe the least I can do is carry that anger. And never forgive. So that I’m still afflicted in some way. So he’s not the only one still hurt.”. I was molested by a pillar of the small southern community I was born into. 1982. I told, the cops said if she’s physically fine she’s fine (rolling eyes). Nothing happened. And nothing ever will.. And that is the most human thing I’ve seen in a long time. It might not be the moment people were hoping for but it takes a lot to be that brutally honest while at the mercy of the internet. Sorry for everything you’ve been through. And I’m especially sorry that our legal system failed you and your family.
