Becky Roche Lane. A civil suit that garnished the abuser’s wages so as to provide for Gene (especially as he ages) would be the MINIMUM!. You have the right to be angry, you don’t have to forgive. You helped Gene have the best life he could.. The best advice I’ve ever heard is that you don’t have to forgive someone for the wrongs they’ve done. You just have to move on. It seems this woman is doing that, has a job, has relationships, and children. Preaching forgiveness isn’t always the answer and a lot of times it feels like really shitty people get off scot-free for the shitty things they did. So, so wrong he spent only a year in prison. At least prison isn’t reported to be kind to child abusers.. Probably one of the most intense stories I’ve read here. So much love to this family.. We Muslims believe that in order to truly and sincerely repent for any sin/crime you commit, you have to ask God to forgive you AND you have to ask the people whom you hurt to forgive you. If your victims won’t forgive you, you have to offer to make amends in a way that is acceptable to them. And you also have to TRY to stop repeating your problematic behavior. Anything else is just empty lip service. God is great dachshunds are good and people are crazy shirt I don’t know if that child abuser ever asked God to forgive him; I don’t know if he ever stopped his abuse once and for all; but it sure does seem like he has one major step in his life left to complete — asking this beautiful family to forgive him for all that he did to them and asking how he can at least try to make it up to them (though we all know that he never can).

You, like Gene, are a ferocious protector of those you love. I honor your anger.. Honouring the grace of you carrying that anger. Honouring your love for Gene and your kindness towards the chips that should not bear his shame. . Your love is palpable, beautiful, as you talk about Gene. You deserve to let go of this “affliction “ because it hurts you, but doesn’t help Gene. I wish you every happiness, and peace despite it all.. Unreal story. I believe God holds us accountable, for everything we do. Gene’s grace is a thing of beauty and I believe it will impact people on a much larger scale than you maybe can imagine. This animal doesn’t deserve to be living in your head. God bless you and your whole family..
