Robin Williams and his work impacted so many lives in a positive way. I still miss him. I always will.. Robin had Lewy Body dementia that was misdiagnosed. Maybe you could do some interviews with patients suffering with it to bring education not only to others but to physicians. It’s the second leading cause of dementia related deaths behind Alzheimer’s. I am so very glad you made it to America and have thrived. I am thankful you were able to have that bond with your father.. Robin Williams touched so many lives. I know he knows that now but I agree with this man. We have to tell people when they touch our lives. Thank you for these wonderful stories Brandon.. Please know that his death was not due to a temporary mindset. Robin Williams had a rare and fatal brain disease, Lewy Body Dementia. His death was imminent. It was not a treatable and preventable suicide, but an end stage brain atrophy illness. This was our favorite chess shop when living in NYC. We took our kids there a few years ago and they were closed for a chess camp. They opened the gates and let my kids come in and play a game with the other children . This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read.. Powerful !. The bombs that were dropped on him and his family continue to drop to this day. In the words of Anthony Bourdain, how much longer will the world continue to rob the Palestinians of their humanity? This isn’t a story about Robin Williams, it’s a story of genocide and apartheid that has spanned decades and continues to be tolerated by the world.. Something tells me that Zelda would be very happy to hear how much her dad meant to this man.. Perhaps that smile between 2 men walking with their loved ones meant more to him than anything to do with his career could have.
