I found your stories and reflections about the pizzeria very compelling. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s feel that way. You had a dream to illustrate a children’s book, and responsibilities got in the way. But maybe you can still pursue that dream? Your stories would make a wonderful book and you could illustrate it! You could even call it something fun like, “Slice of Life: Stories from a Brooklyn Pizzeria”. I believe it’s never too late to honor dreams based on our gifts and talents, it’s just that we may not take the path we first envisioned to get there. Certainly working 14 hour days doesn’t leave you much time. But I hope you won’t give up on your dreams. I believe in you!

Great story of a family legacy. Love it. Perhaps your Father felt the same as you. He may have had other dreams but realised the value in the relationships we build with others through service. Perhaps he didn’t want to leave his people either. . What a wonderful children’s story you could turn your experiences into!. I follow Josephine on Instagram. We own a pizzeria in Virginia. My husband opened it 14 years ago- when I was pregnant with our first son. Since opening, my husband is always at the store. He’s missed many moments of our children’s lives. He has a hard time remembering them when they were small. He started having seizures from the stress of working 14, 15 hour days. It’s so hard on him. But he says he does it for me and the boys. Be kind to restaurant owners – you don’t know the sacrifices they make in their own lives to feed you. I just really like eagles ok 4th of july t-shirt

A reminder that everyone’s life is a heartfelt story with hidden stories. When my kids and I go to New York, we will have SO MANY places to visit! Thanks Brandon. For everything.. No matter what your “job” is in life, you can still make a positive impact on those around you. Never underestimate yourself or your position in life.. Success, freedom, beauty, purpose all things that the media, the world, THEY, have put some sort of box around. How it ‘should’ look.
