Chinese proverb: “If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come.”. My husband that just passed loved the color green!! Mainly because he was of Irish decent. But my favorite color is yellow, so we went well together. He looked so handsome in green!!. I love everything about this. She’s springtime all year round!. My kindergarten teacher (Ms Mitchell) was like this with orange! Even orange hair. If you wore orange, she would kiss you! Such joy and love for a color that is not usually someone’s favorite . I wish I could post the picture I have of her that I snapped on my way to a first date back in 2010. The guy on that first date became my husband so I like to think she’s good luck.. Wouldn’t the world be a lovely place if we were all a little bit Elizabeth “green lady” . I’m so so happy to see her smiling face! I haven’t seen her outside in a very long time. She does bring a smile to many many faces!!. It’s not easy being green, said Kermit, but she makes it look effortless!. Yes, Green Queen . For some reason, the lyric, “shiny happy people” pops up in my head!. This . She used to be my neighbor! She was always so sweet and smiled at every person she passed. . What a sweet soul! My great grandmother was a blue lady . Maybe this is what Kermit was referring to all along. It’s not easy being green unless you’re the green lady who looks for the good in people. One of a kind!. All I know is we aren’t on this planet for a long time so if living that green life gives her joy and happiness then I say make the world green and keep having that lovely smile while she does it. She’s just so adorable! She’s right about green. Just reading her story and looking at her pics It made me just feel happy and peaceful.. She reminds me of the purple librarian of Boise Idaho. Woman apparently even had a purple house and car.. I love her!! Her instagram always makes me smile. @greenladyofbrooklyn. My father had stage 4 non Hodgkin’s lymphoma a few times. Lime green was his support ribbon color and every time I see something green that catches my eye I know it’s him. I lost him in April 2020 and green will always be home. Thank you for being the green lady, it brings happiness to adults too! . You didn’t happen to be in the Pillsbury bake off in the seventies I remember Nora writing about a woman who made her own green nail polish. Oh I want to be her when I am old! I already have the green hair going on lol
