This is one of my favorite pizzerias in, born and raised if your wondering .. I remember Josephine from the old neighborhood. I’d go in for a slice and she was kind of like my reflection on the other side of the counter. A lot has changed since I moved away, but Lenny’s is still there. Josephine is holding it down. She’s one of the reasons it’s still real on 86th. We see you, Jo. Thanks for the pizza, and the memories.. The stories are the reason that New York will live forever.. It’s too bad that desk jobs are glamorized and service jobs are minimized in our culture. Pay is grossly unfair. But I’m glad she has a heart to do what she does seriously, where would this world be without pizza?? . She was getting a lot more than just a slice of pizza.
