I bought my backpack that I’ve been using almost every day several years ago and it’s still going strong. I vividly remember how cool and random the store was and having a really pleasant exchange with the woman working there at the time. This made me realize I should go back there to support them.. And just like that everyone marks their maps for when we travel to New York next. I hope you’re still open when Australians like me can visit.. What a truly kind soul Henry is. There are very few people left in this world that would worry about the feelings of a customer that came back years later to find his store gone. Glad he had children to teach his ways.. I love how much he loves his regulars. He’s not just making them feel appreciated, he actually appreciates them, and that’s why they’ve come back time after time all these years. Humans of New York I am okeke , I come from the eastern part of Nigeria, I’m 21 years old my father was killed by bandits and they burnt down my mothers shop The Recent attacks on the community where we stay in by bandits left some of us homeless and many were injured and killed, it was like nightmare / movie for me I ,my mother and my siblings don’t know were to stay we are currently in the hideout we built in the bush for 8 months I’m now the man of the house since my father had been killed by the bandit (Fulani herdsmen) and I’m really worried about my family We are six(6) in number including my mom And we all have dream to fulfill which can’t be archived in this bush we are why I have come to ask for help from anyone from this group who is willing to help my family and I to leave this bush and start new life for us . as a result of the attack my moms shop got burnt down by the violet herdsmen and that’s where we have been feeding before the attack ;on behalf of my family and I I’m asking for help from anyone that can help us to raise money to leave this bush,build a shop for my mum and take us back to school Renting an apartment in the urban part of gombe, getting my mom a shop and sending us back to school will cost about that’s about $1,120 we will gladly appreciate if we get up to that amount as me and my family hustle to complete the task . Henry should look into the small business loan/Grant program that New York state is opening up I believe on June 8. It is designed to provide owners of small businesses who owe rent arrears relief so that they do not lose their businesses or their leases.. I will be in NY next weekend I will definitely try and make it to Houston st to check out Henry store, praying for an a really busy summer.
