David Chris Towe of course you have said it right. David Chris Towe The vaccines have gone fairly round, have you not gotten yours?. Luicita Caroline Japan is sorely behind. My 90 year old mother in law has yet to get hers.. David Chris Towe Are you serious? You should contact someone. I had my second vaccine a couple of weeks back. Have you been vaccinated?. David Chris Towe hello how are you doing today baby. Live here and can’t agree more . YES! Here 21 years and I stayed in my little apartment in Inwood throughout the pandemic. It was scary and heartbreaking. But the experience only deepened my love for and attachment to the city. It may be a city of 8 million people, but we are a very close community. We cared for and supported each other. We suffered the worse of it together. And we’ll rebuild together. Time spent with dogs and baseball is never wasted poster

I’ve lived here 16 years and stayed through the entire pandemic. Feeling the life drain out of NYC was heartbreaking and terrifying but those of us who decided to stay always saw glimmers of light: the 5pm applause that echoed through the streets, the random dance party that broke out in front of our neighborhood coffee shop when it reopened (joy!!), places like Duane Park that continued offering creative entertainment like acrobats hanging from fire of it. There was still magic here. We kept it alive.. I was blessed to be able to visit New York during the quarantine and it was such an eerie experience. The streets were silent, but the stillness provided an opportunity to spend time talking with the people who make the city so special. It was heartbreaking to see and hear the struggles, but it was also uplifting to hear the tenacity in their voice. I am looking forward to my next visit. I love New York!!! You can travel thousands of miles around the globe and still won’t find a place like it.. I was there the other week and this post confirms the electric feeling I experienced!! So joyful for all New Yorkers and can’t believe I got to share a moment of it with you all!!. Good for you New Yorkers, cos in many other parts of the world we are still wading in doom, misery and death.. In general, I believe that pessimists will remain pessimistic and optimists will remain optimistic. It’s a choice. I am (and will always be) an eternal optimist. Welcome back, NEW YORK CITY!!!. It looks great, and I’m happy for your optimism, but I’m still holding my breath a bit to see the possible after-effects of the crowds at the Indy 500 and the large numbers of people traveling over the Memorial Day weekend. I’m not sure this isn’t being done too fast.
